Use Your Sense of Sight

“Seeing beauty in a flower could awaken humans, however briefly, to the beauty that is an essential part of their own innermost being, their true nature.” ~Eckhart Tolle
I wanted to share this picture with you my niece took in her photography class in college. She did an amazing job capturing the essences of the object in each photo so I’d thought I’d share them with you. Here’s the first one (more to come)-really use your vision to take in the colors and textures of the flower. Don’t just look at it, take your time and really ‘see’ it. See the various tones and depth of the color in different parts of the flower.
Enjoy,
Gina

Thanks Katie. I’ll tell my niece, Nina, you said that. Wait til you see some of her other ones-they are really cool.

I love the way the colors are so saturated. The depth is so involving. I got really sucked into the center and I was really able to only focus on the curves, shadows and light in the picture. Thank you so much for sharing. Your niece did an excellent job.

Hi Janelle,
Thanks for the comment. I will pass it along to my niece-she’ll be very happy.
With that black background, when I stare in the center it looks to me like the flower is moving-pretty cool!
Thanks also for commenting on my other post on your blog. The key to mastering those 10 tips is to first become ‘aware’ of them, which is what you are doing-very cool!
