Prompt #13
Surprise by Ashley Ambirge
I will not hide my tastes or aversions. I will so trust that what is deep is holy, if we follow the truth, it will bring us out safe at last. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Think of a time when you didn’t think you were capable of doing something, but then surprised yourself. How will you surprise yourself this week?

When I think back, there’s been quite a few things that I’ve done that I didn’t think I was capable of doing…..sometimes thinking, ‘did I really do that…man that took some guts’………
…..but what I realize now is that it’s in those moments – when you surprise yourSelf – that you really discover what you are truly made of.
This week, I will surprise myself by cutting out processed sugar………phew, I said it…….can I do it? Damn right I can! (however you better leave some comments and cheer me on or you can just check in and see how I’m doing in a day or two…..this way I’ll have some accountability!) I may need it! Thanks!

You will have some difficult days, like giving up caffeine. But, ultimately, you will feel wonderful without the processed nonsense – less bloating, more energy, better complexion, better moods.

Hola Amy…..thanks for the support…..It’s amazing how we know what will make us feel better but it’s still hard…I have been off sugar before and felt great…..and I still don’t eat that much but I can see the cycle starting of having a little more here and there and I want to crush that cycle before it gets out of hand.
One thing I know I have to get back to is meal planning…I do so much better when I have a plan with what I’m going to eat..and have all those foods in the house.
Thanks so much for stopping by and lending your encouragement!

Gina, good luck, I’m sure you will get this accomplished as well. You have the mind for it. My “I can’t believe I’ve done thats” are not so food related unfortunately… more decision making in life and business and as I have said before NIKE said it…. “Just do it.”

Thanks Joe…many of mine have not been food-related either, but a couple have.
.
So far so good……I love ‘Just do it!’
Thanks for popping over and commenting and reminding me of that great saying……..
