Overcoming Uncertainty
First Listed June 28, 2011
It’s day 29 in the Trust30 Writing Challenge…seriously, I cannot believe how quick this month went by!
You know, sometimes when I think of doing this writing each day, a thought crosses my mind, maybe I’ll skip it tonight. But you know what? I’m so glad I listen to my gut and do the challenge each day because after I write my insights to each prompt, I learn something new about myself.
Prompt #29 ~ Trust30 ~ Self-Reliance Writing Challenge
Overcoming Uncertainty by Sean Ogle
Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but the triumph of principles. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Write down a major life goal you have yet to achieve or even begin to take action on. For each goal, write down three uncertainties (read: fears) you have relating to each goal. Break it down further, and write down three reasons for each uncertainty. When you have three reasons for your fear, you’ll be able to start processing the change because you know where the fear stems from. Now you’ll be able to make a smaller changes that push you towards your larger goal. So begins the process of “trusting yourself.”

Major Life Goal: To Empower Women to Break Through Their Anxiety Prison
3 Uncertainties:
1) How will I reach them
2) Will they be willing to do the work
3) How long I’ll be here to do the work (but I’ll do it as long as I’m here on this Earth)
3 Reasons for Each Uncertainty
1) Not sure I can find them
2) I haven’t asked
3) It’s just a fact that I don’t know how long I’ll be here
Ahhh….this is interesting what shows up for me after writing this…..it makes me realize that if I just stay small and don’t go after what I want, that that is just a darn boring life and my purpose will not be fulfilled.
However, if I am courageous and reach out, that my message will get out to more women and the ones who are ready, will show up.
Very exciting!
