Movement Is Good

First Listed March 17, 2011

Have you ever wanted to get back into shape? To be fit and feel healthy and strong, but you just can’t get yourself motivated to do it?

You know getting up and moving your body would make you feel better, but you still can’t get yourself up and moving. You feel stuck and don’t know how to move through the stuckness.

My friend from the Goddess Circle (affiliate), Loran, was having this challenge so we had coaching session about it. After our session, she wrote the post that’s below and shared it on the Goddess Circle. I asked her if I could share it here with all of you and she graciously said yes.

Loran loves photography and she takes such beautiful pictures. I asked what she likes to do, workout-wise. She said hiking. She said it’s so beautiful where she lives and that it’s the perfect setting to go hiking. We discussed together how she could incorporate her love of photography into her workout routine. So this is what we came up with…..

…..we decided that she would take her camera with her on her hike so that’s what she did. So not only did Loran find the time to pursue her love of photography, but she got a workout in as well (with one of her four-legged buddies too). How cool is that!!!

Thank you Loran for letting me share this here. I can feel the uplifted energy in your words below and it’s my wish that you keep that invigorated feeling with you on the path to your fit Self!

Below is the start of Loran’s picturesque journey toward her healthier, fitter Self! Keeping on moving Loran!

I took advantage of Gina’s offer for coaching on Friday.  We talked about my reluctance to get moving.  We came up with a little mantra for me:  Movement is good.  She suggested walking with my camera might be a good way to get started.  So today I went out with my Irish Wolfhound, Brogan, and took some pictures.

It’s warming up, the snow is melting and mud is everywhere!

The moon was out!

The sun was shining and the snow was glistening on the mountains.

Even birds were singing!  I live in such an amazing place.  It was good to get out and move.  Thanks, Gina, for the encouragement.
