It Seems That Thy Food Truly is Thy Medicine
First Listed April 5, 2010
Well, the cholesterol results are in, and can I tell you, I am so ecstatic right now!
In mid November, I explained how I started a new eating pattern in hopes to bring my cholesterol down. I have to say I am extremely happy with the results – they are better than I ever expected them to be, wihoo!
I just got off the phone with my doctor and she told me my number were great and to keep doing whatever it is I’m doing!
Here’s the new test results:
October 2009: Total Cholesterol = 221
March 2010: Total Cholesterol = 182

October 2009: Total LDL (bad cholesterol) = 119
March 2010: Total LDL (bad cholesterol) = 94

Lyme’s Disease = numbers have decreased meaning it’s going in the right direction and is considered inactive, yay!
Check out my post in November to see what I changed/added in order to help this transformation. And remember before you go ahead and do anything crazy or change things to check with your medical practitioner.
This just further exemplifies to me that food is truly our medicine and all we need to do is make that choice and commit to the change we tell ourselves we are going to do and JUST DO IT! It truly can be done!
I am psyched to continue this journey and keep learning and learning and researching and researching…this is going to make me even more of a wellness info-junkie than I already am!
I also have to say that since I’ve been eating the way I have, my joints, particularly my knees, have been feeling much better as well – another added plus.
The journey continues……

Ps. I have to thank David Wolfe because I have been listening to a ton of his interviews and many things I have incorporated are because of him too. So thank you David Wolfe!!!
Share some comments? What do you think? Have you had a similar experience? Why do you think it’s so hard for us to change our eating patterns?
