Intention Setting ~ Invoke crystal, essential oil and Blue Moon energy!

In my last post I spoke of imprinting a specific intention by performing a ritual using essential oils. When I woke up this morning, another idea came to me that I have used in the past that I wanted to share with you also (I keep a pad and pen handy on my night table because a lot of my inspired/creative ideas flow to me when I first wake up or as I am falling asleep .

I remembered it’s the Blue Full Moon tonight and what could be more perfect than having a Blue Moon on the eve of New Year’s!

What an added bonus – energetically speaking – to have the energy of the Blue Moon combined with crystal and essential oil energy, when creating goals, visions, intentions, resolutions or whatever name you want to give to those things that you’d like to create/manifest in the new year!

A full moon is powerful in its own right, but a blue full moon (the second full moon in a calendar month) is even more powerful. This is the perfect night to set your intentions while visualizing the energy of the blue moon flowing through your pen as you write, your fingers as you type or your mind as you contemplate your intentions for the new year.

Now’s the time to visualize, revitalize and state your deepest life goals so that you can manifest all you desire.

Now that we have the energy of the blue moon, let’s add the magnificence of crystals and essential oils.

Why I love crystals…
They shine, shimmer, mesmerize and just vibrate with such high energy. Crystals are an amazing manifestation of the mineral kingdom. I have to admit I’ve gathered quite a collection of them over the last few years. I place them at certain areas in my bedroom, on my desk and also in my treatment area at the salon where I do my holistic therapies.

Crystal Intentions…
Crystals carry information and have the ability to hold, receive and transmit energy. This is why your intention when using crystals is really important – remember, they can hold and transmit energy – and what are our thoughts…..energy of course!

A Crystal Journey…
We’re going to go on a little crystal journey so if you have a crystal, grab it and come along. If you don’t have one, I invite you to visit a place where you can experience crystals. Feel and hold a few in your hand and if one calls to you, buy it if you can.

• Cleanse your crystal once you get it home. This helps to clear it of any unwanted or negative energy that is may have gathered along its journey to you. If you already have a crystal, cleanse it anyway .You can cleanse your crystal by wiping it with a cotton cloth to which you’ve added a drop of an essential oil – Ahh, here is the addition of the essential oil energy – (you can use a tissue if you don’t have a cloth). If you don’t have an essential oil, you better go get one (just kidding). You can wipe your crystal with spring water too. Set an intention while doing this of cleansing any unwanted and negative energy from your crystal. (once we’re done with this journey, you can place your crystal in sunlight to further cleanse it – they love to sunbathe!)

• Sit in a special spot either indoors or outdoors, with your spine straight and close your eyes

• Feel your crystal in your hands – its texture and shape

• Rest the backs of your hands on your thighs, palms facing up and put your crystal in the palm of your left hand

• Be aware of any sensations – can you feel the energy emanating from your crystal? Do you feel it just in your palm or do you feel anything in other parts of your body?

• Now put your crystal in the palm of your right hand – does it feel any different in this hand? What sensations do you feel now?

• Sit with your crystal and see if any feelings, messages or sensations arise within you. Feel the peace and calm surrounding you.

• While you are feeling this peace and calm and with awareness, repeat, type or write your intentions – remember to visualize the blue moon energy flowing through you as you do this. You can also use your Intention Blend if you created one at this time.

• When finished, bring your crystal to your heart, hold it there for a moment and give gratitude to it, your essential oil(s) and the blue moon for your experience.

Caution – you may become a crystal fanatic like me if you enjoyed this experience .

Some crystal tips:
You can clean your crystals weekly by wiping them with a drop of essential oil on a cotton or silk cloth. Also, put a drop of an essential oil on your crystal and you will smell the aroma as it permeates your room. I have an amazing smokey quartz crystal that is one of my favorite crystals that I have. I meditate with it often and just stare at it and am mesmerized by the structure of its interior. Since this crystal is a smokey brown, earthy color, I use an essential oil or eo blend with grounding qualities. It still amazes me how one drop on this crystal can scent a room!

One of my crystal experiences: When I did my first crystal journey, without the intention setting – I held a crystal in my left palm and I felt its energy go up my left arm, and then down my right arm and it felt like the crystal was also in my right palm when my right palm was actually empty – it was pretty wild.

Crystals and essential oils are powerful on their own, but combining them is even more powerful.
