How to Find the Courage to Freely Express the Goddess Within You

I am so excited and honored to have been given the opportunity to interview the amazing, gorgeous Goddess Leonie!

I am also so happy to spread her empowering Goddess message to all of you.

Has there ever been a point in your life where you have this vision or inkling of what your purpose is for being here in this world and for a moment you get really excited…….and then the inner voices come in saying…….’oh, how could you ever do that?’, ‘you don’t know enough to do that?’, ‘what would others think if you were to do that?’

Or maybe you’re not absolutely sure of what it is that you are here to do.

So read on to get some amazing insights from Goddess Leonie on how to find the courage to discover and empower the Goddess within you.

Sometimes it’s about taking the risk, that challenge, (and listening to that inner whisper), that is calling you to move forward, take action, and freely allowing the Goddess within you to Shine!

INTERVIEW WITH GODDESS LEONIE:

1.) How did you come to discover the Goddess within you (your inner truth)?

When I was 21, I was invited to a women’s circle. And I put it off for mooooonths and mooooonths and mooooonths. I was convinced that I was a tomboy & only got along with boys.
But one night, curiosity got the better of me, and I went to that circle. I stepped into a normal suburban home – one that glowed and glimmered with magic. And it was filled with women who were lit from the inside by the candle of their soul.
I knew then that I was witnessing a miracle, and that I wanted to be a part of that miracle for the rest of my life.
So I devoted myself to women’s work and to circles and to discovering the goddess in me.

2.) Once you discovered this truth of who you are and what you wanted to be, what was important about expressing this part of you? Did any ‘inner critics’ show up trying to convince you to do otherwise?

It’s all encompassing, this thang of mine.

If I tried to bottle it up, it would seep through the cracks.

It’s going to come out sometime.

It might as well be now.

Coz gosh dang, it makes me oodles upon poodles happy to be doing this work.

3.) If there were any inner critics, how did you empower yourself to follow your heart and BE who you truly wanted to BE?

Ya know, the thing is…

I utterly love being this woman that I am. I ADORE being Leonie.

She’s my best friend. And my muse. And she’s zany and wacky and obtuse and doesn’t always know what to say and she’s not uber popular in that kinda way but she is indie cool in her own way.

And she might make mistakes, but I do know that she tries very hard.

And that’s all she can do, really.

So I am very, very proud of her. I love her. There’s no other way I can be.

I want to walk through my life holding the hand of my best friend… myself.

4.) What have been some of the key outcomes in your own life of choosing to follow this path?

Ummm dude because life is a thousand x a bagazillion million times more beautiful when you have your Soul Glasses on.

When you start looking at everything to see its medicine and beauty… things change. They turn from shitty brown to the most incredible iridescent luminous light of colours.

That’s what we need in the world.

To remember that it’s all good.

5.) What other possibilities opened up for you in your outer world as you traveled along this life path of following your heart and spreading your Goddess message?

My whole life is this amazeballs dream come true, really.

Like this morning. I woke up in our little cottage by the sea. And my love and my baby daughter and I drove down to the beach, and met some family there, and ate a long, big breakfast in the sun. Then we came home, my daughter fell asleep, I snogged my hunky and then trundled my way to my favourite cafe. To write and dream and pour out all the things inside me that wish to be said. And it’s a Monday morning!!!! Monday! The day that used to suck!

Like holy dinger, can you please time travel back in time to six year old Leonie and tell her that she’s going to have this amazing creative life where she gets to change the world? And that it’s her job and she never worries about money? And that she’ll have the most beautiful daughter in the world, and the loveliest love in the world? And that we live in tropical paradise, in the land that sings the name of our soul?

I’m utterly gobsmacked by the beauty of it all.

Squeeeeze me someone… i get to be a GODDESS for a living!!!

6.) What advice could you give to others who are on the journey to discovering their own inner truth and passions in terms of how to listen to their inner voice and not the voices of others (including inner critics) who try to tell them what to do?

You have a gift inside you.

Let it out.

We need it.
