Giving, Receiving & Breathing

Do you ever tell your Breath (your inhale & exhale) that you don’t want it anymore? Or that you don’t feel worthy of receiving it?

It kind of goes without saying that you receive the breath, both the inhale and exhale, with no issues. You let it happen without judging it…..you receive your inhale openly, and you give out your exhale freely.

So there’s a balance there…but what about when you give and receive in normal everyday life. Can the energy of giving and receiving have a balance?

Yes! There can definitely be a balance between giving and receiving! But first we need to become Aware of our giving and receiving actions.

Do you give and receive equally? Can you tell if you’re out of balance? Let’s bring a little Awareness into this and see if you can tell if you are giving and receiving equally by how you are feeling.

When you are giving too much, you feel drained, taken advantage of, low energy, resentful and possibly experience lack.

When you are receiving too much, you are not enjoying everything you have. (I got this image of a child with so many toys around her that she couldn’t decide which one to go to first and when she choose one, she couldn’t fully enjoy it because there are so many others around).

Both giving and receiving are important. Being able to give as you feel called to and also being able to receive with gratitude – now that feels like a good balance!

It’s like the Breath…..the inhale and exhale are both equally important…..you can’t have one without the other (if you intend to stick around :) ).

So if you do tend to stick around for a while, why not try practicing giving AND receiving and find out for yourself how equally important they both are too.
