Future Dreaming Is Bad…..

…..when it makes you suffer.

I just caught myself……

It is such a gorgeous day out today (walking Roxy with no coat on, just a cozy sweatshirt – gotta love that) and I started thinking about how I can’t wait for the warm weather to come…………..

…………that’s when I caught myself.

For an instant, I started to not like the month, date, season it was.

I then looked out the sliding glass doors of my living room…out to the bamboo trees that do not suffer over the weather. They are there flowing in the wind, allowing the breeze to take them in whatever direction it flows.

They flow back and forth, being still for a few moments until the wind changes their direction once again. And they don’t worry about which direction they are headed. They aren’t worried about what next step to take.

They allow life to lead them.

What’s possible if you were more like the bamboo trees in my back yard……allowing life to flow through you, being present to whatever shows up in the moment?

I believe life would flow with more ease and peace and we could respond to what shows up.

Responding = Flow

Reaction = Contraction

Looking at those bamboo trees allowed me to come back into the moment, looking forward to the warmer weather and at the same time being grateful for where I’m at right now. (nature has a way of doing that)

Any thoughts? Let’s chat……..
