Prompt #23 ~ Trust30 ~ Self-Reliance

Courage to Connect by David Spinks

Men imagine that they communicate their virtue or vice only by overt actions, and do not see that virtue or vice emit a breath every moment. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Who is one person that you’ve been dying to connect with, but just haven’t had the courage to reach out to? First, reflect on why you want to get in touch with them. Then, reach out and set up a meeting.

Hmmmm…..I can’t think of anyone at the moment……when I want to connect with someone who I’m hesitating to connect with…….I eventually ‘just do it’.

So at the moment there really isn’t any one I can think of who I want to connect with now.

I believe that when I really feel that urge in my gut to connect with someone, or to do anything that I’ve been wanting to do, but hesitating, I build up the courage and then do it.

A way I do this is to say to myself……‘what’s the worst thing that could happen?’

Or I envision myself making the connection, and then I let go of the outcome…….knowing that what is meant to be, is meant to be. I trust Life that way.
