Body Renewal

First Listed December 12, 2009

Our bodies are a field of energy. Our bodies constantly change with the ebb and flow of life and also change with every thought that crosses our minds. Negative thoughts may cause negative reactions in the body and thus positive thoughts will cause positive changes in the body.

I’d much rather have the positive changes, how about you?

How do we go about staying on the positive track and not get side swiped by the constant stream of negative thoughts that squeeze into our minds when we’re not present?

Here are some Body Renewal tips to get you started on the positive track and get that spring back in your step:

  • Get out in nature – Go for a walk some where that you love. Notice what is around you and the life that surrounds you right before your eyes no matter what season. If you pay attention to the senses – the smell of the air, the breeze that brushes your skin, the scurrying of animals, then you will quiet your mind – one of the first steps needed to get some real renewal.
  • Experience a holistic therapy – Get a massage, reflexology treatment or some other holistic or spa therapy that you love. BE there and really feel how it inspires you.
  • Get physical - Experience a new workout. Try a yoga or pilates class, new workout video or just put your favorite music on and dance your heart out.
  • De-Clutter - Pick one area that needs your attention and make the powerful decision to attack it now. Go through that pile of papers, one drawer, one closet, the refrigerator or your car – which ever calls to you the most and watch how good you feel once that area is clean and organized.
  • Consciously create and eat a healthy meal - Check out some healthy recipes,  including organic ones and gluten-free options, then choose a recipe that appeals to you and go shopping for fresh organic ingredients that will fuel your body and being. Enjoy creating as well as eating your delicious meal.

There’s so many more activities that can lead to total body renewal.
Sit down and feel what would be right for you. Maybe it’s a warm, soothing bath, enjoying a home spa day using natural products or going out with a friend for lunch or tea. The important thing is to take the time to do what you love and this, in turn, will renew that inner fire inside of you.
