Becoming A Gratitude Guru

First Listed December 8, 2008

I was just reading one of Deepak Chopra’s Spiritual Laws of Success – The Law of Giving and Receiving.  I have to say I’ve always been better at giving than receiving. As I’ve been on this spiritual journey, however, I’ve been finding out that in order to truly give, you must be able to receive as well. Another thing I have realized is I must also be able to give to myself in order to give to others in a huge way.

Here’s a couple of my own thoughts that were inspired by Deepak’s Law of Giving and Receiving:

  • I will FEEL gratitude whenever I give or receive from myself or others.
  • I will be open to receiving so that others will be open to receiving the gifts I have for them.
  • I will take time out for myself daily and do something I love to do.
  • There’s so many ways to give. It doesn’t have to be a material object. Just being there for someone who is in need is a huge way to give.
  • If I need help with something, I’m going to ask for it. (giving myself the opportunity to receive)
  • I’m going to become a Gratitude Guru and be grateful for all that I have now.
  • Give with no expectations.
  • Aromatherapy Luminary Tip: Use Lavender, Grapefruit and Geranium rose, either by themselves or create a blend with two or all three of them. Lavender reminds us to nurture ourselves, grapefruit allows us to reveal our true inner treasures and gives us feelings of gratitude while geranium rose keeps our body and emotions in balance and attuned to the seasons of life.

These are just a few thoughts that came to mind. What about you? Will you join me in becoming a Gratitude Guru? Are you willing to receive, with just a simple ‘Thank you,’ rather than saying ‘you didn’t have to do that’ or ‘you shouldn’t have.’

with an abundance of Gratitude,
