Another Opportunity to Practice Acceptance
First Listed March 25, 2010
I just got to my salon, went upstairs to put my food in the refrig, bags down etc.
Came downstairs and while coming off the last step onto the styling room floor, I fell.
I slipped on something that shouldn’t have been there, but that doesn’t matter now. It happened
and the opportunity arises to accept the situation.
The first thoughts that passed through my mind:
….’can’t believe that just happened’
….’I just started back to working out after 10 days of not being able to because I was sick and now what, another couple weeks of immobility??!’
…’can’t believe that person put that thing there!’
….’hope I’m not going to need an x-ray’
Back to Center
I took a few deep breathes and realized it happened - no sense dwelling on it and making stories up in my head. So…..what can I do from here to help this issue rather than make it worse.
Time to stop reacting and respond to the situation at hand.
So, as I’m typing this, my foot is raised up on a stool with a pack of frozen peas on it, lol (these bag of peas have come handy many times!).
I also massaged some of my face serum on it because of the healing oils it contains and also put a couple extras drops of Lavender essential on it as well since I only have a limited amount of eo’s at the salon.
I also did some Reiki on the area.
I will survive and I choose to move forward and accept this because if I don’t, I’m just adding extra suffering to the situation which is something I do not want to do.
I’m also accepting healing wishes
.
Now back to work…..
