Abundant Possibilities

Do you know what your purpose is in life? Maybe you do know, or maybe you have no clue at all. But one thing you may know for sure is it’s not what you are doing at the moment.

It’s time to Align in 2009!

I’ll let you in on a secret – there is an abundance of possibilities out there for you and they are within your grasp! How do I know this? I know because I have been witness to many who have taken a vision and have, or are in the process of, making their dream come true. I believe we all have a purpose and if we don’t fulfill that purpose, we are not sharing our gifts with those we are meant to share them with.

I’m not just talking about a dream career, or bringing in mega bucks.

Like I said, there is an abundance of possibilities of what your purpose may be. It could be to become a loving mother, or a caring nurse or the best painter you could be. It could be a writer and you are meant to share your writings and wisdom with many others.

What it comes down to is finding that which sparks the inner fire within you – that which energizes your whole being so much that when you think of doing it, you KNOW, with your whole heart that you must do it!

Below are some of my tips to start the journey of finding your real purpose. Whatever that purpose is, know that living in the present moment and living with awareness of what you are thinking and feeling, is the best place to start on this path.

Engage your senses and you will illuminate the pathway back into your inner being.

Aromatherapy Luminary Tips:

  • Meditate ~ This is the portal to everything. Not sure how? Start here.
  • Journal ~ Think of this question, ‘What energizes me so much that when I think of it, my whole body tingles?’ Write whatever comes to mind on a piece of paper or special journal you are devoting to this process.
  • Be Mindful of your Actions and Thoughts ~ Going about your day like a zombie will not help you uncover the luscious insights you will receive from being more mindful.
  • Integrate Aromatherapy Daily ~ You knew I was going to say this right? I so highly recommend using essential oils every day in some way or another. Below are some essential oils you can use to go deeper into your illuminating journey of finding your true purpose:

Sandalwood: for reflection
Sage: helps to bring out the ‘knower’ in you so you can ‘feel’ what is right for you
Rosemary: helps to get the creative juices flowing
Peppermint: to gain clarity and focus, and become clear about what you love to do
Lemon: helps you to think more clearly
Basil: freedom of expression

You can use one of the essential oils above or start your creative flow now by making your own blend :) . Add your chosen essential oil(s) to a small dark amber glass bottle.  Add 7-9 drops of your blend to 1/2 ounce base oil such as sweet almond to use on your pulse points or use your undiluted blend in a diffuser (follow the instructions that came with your diffuser).

One of my favorite ways to use a blend for this purpose is to use it in a personal fan diffuser. You put a few drops of your blend on the reusable pad that come with this diffuser. Turn on the diffuser (it’s battery operated) and a fan diffuses the blend into the air. You would put this diffuser right next to you because it’s a small mini-fan that is used to scent the area right around you, it’s not used to scent a whole room. It’s small and portable so you can take it with you to work or when you travel.

Have fun with this. Be open and aware of the subtle messages you will get by setting this intention of discovering your purpose. As your awareness unfolds, you’ll be amazed at what you may uncover.
Enjoy!

*Important Note: Before using any essential oils, check with your medical practitioner if you have any health concerns or conditions or if you are pregnant or nursing.
