A Perfect Blend ~ exuding absolute harmony
First Listed August 26, 2009
Before I started my day, I decided to create a blend to diffuse into my room. I usually go by my gut – my intuitive feelings on which essential oils to choose in that moment, as well as using a pendulum. Today, 4 essential oils came to me:
- Petitgrain
- Neroli
- Lavender and
- Vetiver
I’m always curious as to which essential oils I will end up choosing and also to discover their qualities and how, most of the time, the blend’s essences are a perfect match to what I need.
So lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve been in some sort of transition mode – kind of figuring out where I’m headed in the future. I’ve been trying not to ‘think’ too much about it and let the feelings that arise be there and truly ‘feel’ them and know that I will be guided in the direction that is meant for me.
With this in mind, I was not at all surprised by the qualities of the oils I chose:
Petitgrain…..fresh and fluid, allows a deeper awakening and new insights that help to light the journey ahead
Neroli…..aids in making choices and discovering if one may need to reach a little farther out of one’s comfort zone
Lavender…..when self care is needed, reminds us to nourish ourselves and also ignites self-expression
Vetiver…..is there some aspects of your life that needs to be let go of? Vetiver offers this support and aids in reconnection
I loved these qualities, plus the aroma of the blend I created exuded absolute harmony!
Here’s the blend:
Petitgrain – 4 drops, Neroli – 3 drops, Lavender – 3 drops, Vetiver – 2 drops

Definately has to be 1/2 of Yoga at home with music playing that allows me to settle into my feelings. I find that as I sink into the positions and let myself go I become aware of exactly what my feelings are so that I can then tend to them and move on. I usually end up in tears…which is very healing and cleansing.
